We had a snow day today so I was able to get a resource posted for ya’ll! I found it helpful for my small group warm up. I also passed it along to my co teacher to use during her station time on Fridays.
This pack contains 7 different gameboards for Extreme Settings, Module 2 in the Wit and Wisdom curriculum.
Use these game boards to review academic vocabulary for the book, “The Hatchet,” by Gary Paulsen.
This pack also includes game boards with vocabulary for the poem, “Dust of Snow,” by Robert Frost and “All Summer in a Day,” by Ray Bradbury. This pack pairs well with Wit and Wisdom Module 2, Extreme Settings. Just print and go!
As the poem, Dust of Snow is short and not as exciting, I found this activity to be a helpful addition to that portion of the unit. Additionally, it includes 5 game boards just for Hatchet vocabulary.
