I have some students that need one on one practice with blending so I created these slides to allow for repeated practice, in a fun way!

I love using these CVC blending slides to help my students become confident early readers. These slides give students a clear, visual way to see how individual sounds come together to form words. We start by saying each sound slowly—/c/… /a/… /t/—and then slide the sounds together to say “cat.” The movement and repetition make it fun and interactive, especially for English learners who need extra support with sound-letter connections. The fall-themed slides add seasonal excitement, helping keep students engaged while we practice blending words with pumpkins, leaves, and cozy autumn images. It’s a wonderful way to build phonemic awareness and make learning feel like play. Grab these slides here!
